I'm so behind. I've got a lot of fun things to share about what we've been doing to get ready for Halloween. But I'll start with today.
Sally had her preschool Halloween party today.
Holding hands.
Here are the results of a little photo shoot we did just before preschool. I'm including a bunch of pictures because none of them were "the money shot." Maybe I'm too picky but it seems like every picture that Sally looks great in, Sophie is looking down, looking mad, or picking her nose and vice versa. You'd think that the law of probability would be on my side because of the sheer volume of photos I take, but alas, these are the best of the thirty or so shots I took. Maybe I just need to get some skills at Photoshop. You be the judge :)
Dancing to "You can learn a lot of things from the flowers..." We sang all the Alice in Wonderland songs we could think of this morning to get them in the mood for their characters.
Got the cat by the tail.
I was worried that Sophie would demand a dress-up dress to wear because Sally had a dress on but she actually seemed thrilled to be wearing the cat costume. We must have given her enough time to think it over and be convinced ;)
Sophie being a "meow"
If Sally would have just looked up and been a little bit closer to Sophie this would have been my favorite.
This would have been great if there was a little more light on Sally.
I love her expression here but of course she's hiking up her skirt in the back for no apparent reason.
Sophie!! Just look up!
Sally's preschool group getting ready to perform their Halloween poems and songs for the parents.
I have some super cute video of this I'll try to edit and put on the blog. Although, lots of times Blogger gives me a hard time when I try to post video. Also, I missed a few songs in the middle because I'd forgotten to check to see if my camera's card was full- and it was. So I had to scramble through a bunch of old stuff to find something that had already been saved so I could delete it and get some more space. Argh!
Sally waiting patiently for a crack at the piñata. They had one for the girls and one for the boys which was so smart. The boys were much more aggressive. They had them working on the piñatas at the same time but the boys had theirs busted open a good ten minutes before the girls.
Up at bat. She did a formidable job- but even with each girl getting multiple whacks and turns it still took a parent to bust it open.
Sophie wasn't quite sure what to do.
The mayhem.
This is the picture that Sally's preschool teacher sent out to all the parents in an email. Love how Sally is right in the middle and standing in front of everyone else- what a silly girl! I also noticed how she's at least a few inches shorter than EVERY kid in her class!
Kids in costumes are so super cute! Happy Halloween!

What cutie pies! I really like the 2nd, 4th, and 7th pictures. They seem to capture the moment well. I just want to squish them up!
