Can you tell we recently renewed our zoo membership?

Our favorite Tammy came to Tucson for a two week visit just recently. She brought Baron, the disabled man that she provides care for in her home in Denver. I still have to do some posts about when we went to visit her in Denver over the summer- I'll try to get on that soon. She flew in on a Friday and we had a lot of things going on so I let my mom and dad have her for the weekend and then immediately after church on Sunday I drove down to kidnap her and Baron and bring them to visit us in Chandler for a few days when my parents would be working most of the time anyways (read: Thanks Mom and Dad for letting me steal her away!).

The visit totally wasn't long enough. I miss my little sister! But it was a super great visit- in spite of the 100+ degree weather we were still having (it seriously didn't start to cool down until her last day visiting- come on weather, could you not help us out a little bit in convincing her to move back here?!). We went on bike rides in the park, went to the zoo, went swimming every day, and went to our (my sister and my) favorite restaurant, Charleston's for lunch. She's always so fun to do things with even when we were just running errands together :) So here are some pictures of our zoo day with Tammy. It was nice to be able to treat her and Baron by using our free guest passes and we even took advantage of the free train passes we received when we renewed our zoo membership- it was so hot it definitely helped to be driven around the zoo in a covered vehicle.

Our beautiful blondes.

Sally posing.

This time, Sophie got in on the posing as well. She actually asked me to take pictures of her on these cute benches and then proceeded to sit still for more than her usual 2 seconds so I could actually get a decent shot :)

There must always be goat brushing when Sally is with us.

Sophie still wasn't warming up to the goats but she did warm up to her aunt :)

Sally "milking" a cow.

I just love this picture for the backdrop and the contrast of the slide's bright colors.

The little people farm. Sophie was back to her usual I-can't-stay-in-one-place-long-enough-for-you-to-take-my-picture self. I barely got this shot as she started to slide off the back.

Sally, on the other hand, seems to be able to pose all day long ;)

The splash pad was awesome because we were there on a weekday around lunch time so hardly anyone was there. It made it so much easier to keep track of our little munchkins.

Pure Joy!
