Trunk-or-Treat 2010

Here's the best group shot of the season- of course, the Mad Hatter has his eyes closed, but what can you do?
It was a good thing I'd made the rice krispie treats for the trunk-or-treat in advance because we made it back from the pumpkin patch with hardly any time to get in our costumes. We ended up getting to the ward chili cook off/trunk-or-treat about 25 minutes late. By that time all of the mild chili was gone, there was a little bit of medium left, and plenty of hot. Poor Dad didn't see the sign warning "Hot" and almost died taking one bite of someone's idea of a funny prank. It seriously took him a good hour to recuperate.

It was a lot of fun seeing so many kids from church in costume but hardly any adults dressed up. It was just our ward so there weren't a lot of cars to go to but there was plenty of candy and I think most of the kids there hit some of the cars two or three times.

A rare picture of just the two of us taken by my sweet Relief Society President. There is a sneaky Cheshire Cat disappearing behind Lewis Carroll.

Our new ward's trunk-or-treat ended a little bit early so we drove the half mile to our old ward's party/hay ride so we could visit with some old friends. It was so much fun seeing everyone there- such good people :)

Sally on her second hay ride of the day at her third party of the day.

My sweet former visiting teacher passing out candy to our kitty.

Best decoration.

Sleepy kitty.
