Sally the artist

Sally is still loving her Happy Apple Preschool- here she is modeling a crown she made at school on the letter "c" day. She's also been drawing like crazy lately and really getting much better. 

Here's a picture she drew for her teacher with her in the foreground (she's always the one in pink) and teachers Laura and Amanda.

This one she drew for Shule- it's his favorite video game character- Kirby. 

This one is a picture she drew for her very best friend, Courtney. (They like to wear matching clothes)

This one is my very favorite- and rightly so, because she drew it for me. It's our family ice skating (which we haven't actually done since the girls have been born but it makes me feel like we need to take the family to the ice rink soon). From left to right, there is Sophie in purple, Sally in pink, Jon (you can tell by the glasses), Shule in green (funny how she is taller than Shule in the picture), then me with purple hair (I've always wanted purple hair- when I'm completely white/grey I'm TOTALLY going purple!), and then Shazer outlined in blue. I love how she's shown movement with us all having one leg up and the snowflakes are just fantastic. She's been really on my case lately about how we should live somewhere that it snows. I think she's been seeing all of these holiday programs and stories about fun activities people do in the snow and she's feeling cheated. I promised her that we'd take her to play in the snow up in Flagstaff or on a mountain near by as soon as it snows, but she's still not pacified and is always telling me that we need to move. We'll see where Jon's future employment will take us- perhaps she'll get her wish by next Christmas.
