Silly Sally & Sophie Updates

This post is mostly for the benefit of grandparents and aunts and the like, but if you don't fall into those categories and you like pictures of adorable, silly kids then you might enjoy this, too.

Sophie is enjoying playing with her big sister.

Sally doesn't fit in the "Little People" container the way that she used to, but that doesn't stop her from trying!

I couldn't get a good picture of this because she gets distracted by the camera and puts her foot down. Sophie has been teething like crazy the past few weeks, she started off her eighth month with just two teeth on the bottom and one tooth on top and now has four on the top and three on the bottom. Plus she's had a summer cold, needless to say she's been pretty miserable a lot of the time. She's also teething on everything, (she surprised Jon the other night by biting his stomach), and she cracks me up when she literally puts her foot in her mouth and sucks on it like most kids suck their thumb/fingers!

This is such a happy sight for me. Sophie is finally taking a bottle after refusing to do so for nine months. This makes it much easier for me to get other things done and to leave her with someone else for more than just 2 hours. I felt bad at first because the only way I could get her to take the formula was by adding chocolate syrup to it, but I only had to do that twice before she grew accustomed to the new taste and now she drinks it plain just fine. :)
(They're watching an old Teletubbies video that Shule used to love as a toddler)

Sally is at that all important "I can do it myself" stage. This is her attempt at putting her jeans on. Notice the protruding tongue-sign of intense concentration.

So proud of her accomplishment!

Is the button supposed to be at the ankles?

Sally was able to go with her big brothers to spend a week with Nana & Pop-Pop in Tucson last week (Thanks for taking such good care of the kids, Mom and Dad!). She must have had a good time playing hide-and-seek with Brittany because since she's been home all she wants to do is hide. Pretty sneaky!

Sally likes to climb the stairs in front of our apartment. I thought she was looking especially cute today so I grabbed the camera. Then she decided to pose for a picture at each step she climbed- so I have about twenty pictures of her climbing up the stairs- oh, the magic of the digital camera that can humor a child and then delete all but the best pictures without any cost!
