A Day for Firsts

I will post some pictures and stuff about our Christmas shenanigans a little later but I wanted to post these pictures and video hot off the press (or whatever). Today was Sophie's first try at the solid food thing and it went really well. She had some rice cereal mixed with applesauce (always a favorite of my kiddos) and she sat up pretty well in the high chair and got quite a few real bites in after it was spit out a few times. She really seemed to like it. We got some good video of her eating but we had trouble with the upload to this site. Sorry.
Also, today we took Sally out to ride her little tricycle and she was finally able to figure out how to push down on the pedal and move forward. Hooray! Her legs have actually been too short during our previous tries so she must have grown a little in the past few weeks.
We had a really nice day relaxing with the family, playing Shule's new Pokemon Monopoly with the boys, getting some chores done and basically just recuperating from the excitement of the Christmas festivities. Tonight we'll have a family movie night after family home evening- Kingdom of the Crystal Skull- I haven't seen it yet but the boys have. I'm sure it will be fun!
